About

Marcia Barrington is a chef and food expert with a passion for sustainable food systems, creating healthy Spanish and Mediterranean recipes and an advocate for the Mediterranean way to eat.

About Me

I’m an experienced chef, food writer and creative with a long-standing career in food. I was one of the original directors of the Divertimenti Cookery School, a consultant to big business advising how to nourish a healthy workforce and latterly – as catering boss, where I set up and ran a sustainable, high-end catering company for ten years with many other projects in between.

I’ve been writing recipes and teaching people how to cook throughout my career working with many well known chefs and food brands. I’ve done a bit of TV, had recipes appear in The Independent, The Times, The Sunday Times, Olive Food Magazine, and The Mediterranean Lifestyle Magazine; and I’m contributor to FareShare UK and the Sustainable Food Trust.

I’m an advocate for seasonal ingredients and the Mediterranean way to eat.

As well as writing and teaching cookery classes in the UK, I split my time between my homes in London and rural Spain where I host A Cook’s Food Tour of the Central Market in Valencia.
